There is a line of severe thunderstorms that stretch from Oklahoma City to Lubbock, TX associated with a cold front that will move through Central Texas early Friday morning. Severe weather in Central Texas will be a minimal threat.  If any storms go severe, the main threat will be from wind and hail.

Outer rain bands from hurricane Earl are moving onto the coast of North Carolina.   Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 110 mph and hurricane force winds extend outward up to 70 miles from the center.
