The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of south central Texas until 10:00 PM. Hail to 2 inches in diameter, thunderstorm wind gust to 70 MPH and dangerous lightning are possible in these areas.

Environmental conditions are expected to remain conducive for a tropical depression to form during the next day or so as this disturbance moves slowly northward. This system has a 80 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
