  A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for southern/western Oklahoma and northwest Texas until 1:00 am. Primary threats include large hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter,wind gust to 70 mph and a few tornadoes are also possible.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of southwest and south central Texas until 1:00 AM. Primary threats include several damaging wind gust with a few significant gusts to 80 MPH possible and several large hail events with a few very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible.

There is a chance for a few strong to severe storms across the slight risk area as a front moves through the region. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado is possible. We are NOT expecting strong violent tornadoes in Central Texas as we saw yesterday in Oklahoma.
