Newly formed Tropical Depression Nine is headed for the Lesser Antilles and is expected to become Tropical Storm Isaac later today. Tropical Depression Nine is located about 645 miles east of Guadeloupe with a present movement west at 20 MPH.

Tropical Storm Helene

The Air Force Hurricane Hunter Aircraft investigated the remnants of Tropical Depression Seven and found a well-defined circulation once again. The system is now upgraded to Tropical Storm Helene with an intensity of 45 MPH. Helene is located about 90 miles east southeast of Tuxpan Mexico and moving north west at 7 MPH. Tropical Depression 7 forms in the Atlantic

A new Tropical Depression has formed in the Atlantic with sustained winds at 35 MPH and gusts up to 45 MPH. The depression is moving west at 20 MPH and forecast to become a Tropical Storm by Friday afternoon.

Air Force Hurricane Hunters find that Ernesto has become a Hurricane with maximum sustained winds at 80 MPH. Ernesto is moving west northwest at 14 MPH about 185 miles east of Chetumal Mexico.                                            Continue Reading

Update on Tropical Storm Ernesto

Poorly organized Ernesto is moving rapidly westward at 23 MPH about 210 miles south of Kingston Jamaica. Maximum sustained winds are still at 50 MPH and the latest forecast models has the track to hit Mexico.

Tropical Storm Ernesto is roughly 590 miles east southeast of Kingston Jamaica moving west northwest at 18 MPH. Ernesto has a maximum sustained wind at 50 MPH and is forecast to become a hurricane on Sunday. There still is uncertainty on the track once Ernesto enters the Gulf of Mexico. Tropical Storm Ernesto

Tropical Depression 5 has now been upgraded to Tropical Storm Ernesto with maximum sustained winds at 50 MPH. Ernesto is roughly 295 miles east of the Windward Islands moving west at 22 MPH. Most forecast models have Ernesto moving into the Gulf next week, but this system is still far out and the track could change.
