The National Weather Service has extended the severe thunderstorm watch to now include counties east and north east of Waco until 4:00am CDT.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for portions of north Texas and southern Oklahoma until midnight. Main threats will be from large hail and strong winds.

Rain Chances For This Weekend

Rain chances are going up this weekend as an upper level storm system will bring widespread rainfall generally west of IH-35. There will be a slight risk of severe weather across parts of the Hill Country with high winds and lightning being the main threat.
