Bell County SKYWARN 2012

This Saturday Vortex Chasers will be attending the annual 2012 Bell County SKYWARN.
Come check out this informative session while getting a chance to meet the team and see the chase vehicle.

The Bell County SKYWARN will be held this Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Belton ISD admin buildingThe basic storm spotting class will be from 8:30am to noon followed by the advanced portion from 1:00 – 4:30pm.

The National Weather Service encourages anyone with an interest in weather, public service and access to communication, such as HAM radio, to join the SKYWARN program. Volunteers include police and fire personnel, dispatchers, EMS workers, public utility workers and other concerned private citizens. Individuals affiliated with hospitals, schools, churches, nursing homes or who have a responsibility for protecting others are also encouraged to become a spotter…

  • Basic severe weather safety
