Rain chances are going up this weekend as an upper level storm system will bring widespread rainfall generally west of IH-35. There will be a slight risk of severe weather across parts of the Hill Country with high winds and lightning being the main threat. 

Wildfire Caused By Lightning

A wildfire started by lightning in Mahomet, Texas (just west of Florence) today as severe storms moved through the Hill Country. The fire was fueled by 40+ MPH outflow winds as you can see from the dust at the end of the video.
