Chance For Scattered Storms This Afternoon/Night

There is a chance for scattered storms across most of Central Texas this afternoon into the night hours. The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of Central Texas under a slight risk for severe weather with the main threats being high winds and hail.

Isolated Storms Possible This Afternoon

Isolated storms will be possible this afternoon across north central Texas. The main threat will be lightning, but an isolated storm or two could be strong to severe with downburst winds and some isolated large hail possible.

2011 Atlantic Hurricane Season

June 1st marks the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. The image above shows the National Hurricane Center has two areas of interest, at this time showing low chances of becoming organized Tropical Cyclones. The NOAA hurricane outlook for 2011 indicates an above-normal Atlantic season.
