EF-3 Damage Confirmed In Thomastown, MS

Overnight on November 29, 2010 at least 4 EF-2 tornadoes and one EF-3 were confirmed by National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi. The EF-3 tornado was about 40 miles northeast of Jackson, MS. The tornado started 3 1/2 miles northwest of Thomastown, MS and had a path length of 10 miles long and a path width up to 400 yards wide ending 3 miles east of McAdams, MS. Several mobile homes were completely destroyed and significant damage occurred to numerous frame houses, with the maximum estimated winds of 140 mph. Luckily no fatalities have been reported with this outbreak of tornadoes.
