Moderate Risk For Severe Storms In OK/KS

As the next storm system moves across the Southern Plains it will bring the threat for severe weather Thursday afternoon/night. The highest threat for severe weather will be from Southeast Kansas into Eastern Oklahoma. The severe weather threats include large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.
As you can see from the image above there is a slight risk of severe weather from Arklatex to Southern Nebraska. The main severe weather threats would be from large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible. Most of the storm energy will be north and northeast of Central Texas, but could not rule out an isolated storm mainly east of I-35 Thursday afternoon/evening.
