Severe Storms Possible on Christmas

There is a slight risk for severe storms early Christmas morning along and east of I-35 in Central and Southeast Texas. Scattered storms will develop after midnight tonight and move east through the morning hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards, but isolated tornadoes are also possible. As this storm system moves east during the day on Christmas there is a moderate risk of severe weather for parts of Louisiana, south central Mississippi and west central Alabama. The severe weather hazards include widespread damaging winds and tornadoes with a long track tornado or two possible along and close to the moderate risk area.
