Tropical Storm Ernesto is roughly 590 miles east southeast of Kingston Jamaica moving west northwest at 18 MPH. Ernesto has a maximum sustained wind at 50 MPH and is forecast to become a hurricane on Sunday. There still is uncertainty on the track once Ernesto enters the Gulf of Mexico. Tropical Storm Ernesto

Tropical Depression 5 has now been upgraded to Tropical Storm Ernesto with maximum sustained winds at 50 MPH. Ernesto is roughly 295 miles east of the Windward Islands moving west at 22 MPH. Most forecast models have Ernesto moving into the Gulf next week, but this system is still far out and the track could change.

Tropical Depression 5 forms in the Atlantic about 810 miles east of the Windward Islands. Present movement is to the west northwest at 18 MPH with maximum sustained wind at 35 MPH.
