Tropical depression 13 has been upgraded to a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 40 MPH.
Tropical Storm Katia has now been upgraded to a Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 MPH. Also watching the Gulf Of Mexico as disorganized thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure could develop into a tropical cyclone during the next day or so.
